Pragmatism is both a philosophical starting point and a philosophical tradition. With beginnings in America, pragmatism has drawn increased attention from philosophers, scholars and scientists across Europe. National and regional networks, projects, events, and journals have emerged.
The European Pragmatism Association, founded in 2012, promotes philosophical and scientific research concerning and building upon pragmatism by organising events and supporting affiliated working groups and journals. Its aim is to enable cooperation between different nations and regions in Europe and to highlight European research at global venues.
